Chapter 1: 'Araña

1.1 - NO'ITA || BIRTH

In the beginning, there was nothing but the Void, a vast empty space of nothingness, chaotic and blackness galore. There were no order nor balance in primordia. Time has yet to exist in the Void, yet it exists many entities, gnarly, alien and demonic in nature. Among these entities come with the High Pantheons, who reign over the Blackened Sea and exist in primordia alongside chaos, remain dormant until something interesting happens. But it would not be long until something happened.

At the core, a light shines through the Void, and it pushes them away, giving space for a creation of holiness. And thus, Arrania was brought into this world, and He created the Old World. For millennia, Arrania slowly weave and mend matter into existence, creating galaxies, stars and planetary systems. Once the Earth was created he began experimented it. As He brought life to the world, the Void interfered. They sacrificed some of the darkness into the Light to form unholy beasts who will live in the Old World and cause havoc. But Arrania had other plans for them. He mold the earth's surface, changing the landmass overtime, making the beasts difficult to thrive on the everchanging lands and perished. They even set some to invade Arrania's heaven but were banished by His Light. The Void gave up but promised will return one day.

Arrania returns to experimenting the world before giving life to His final creation, humanity and monster-kind. He then later created the Servants and Seraphim to accompany him as he remain dormant, watching over His creation evolve independently until His days numbered.

1.2 - DOLARU YA'ECA || OLD WORLD

Over the years long after the creation, hunter gatherers started off in the High Plateau of the Super Continent, nomads wandering the earth, feeding off from exotic flora and fauna. But they must fend themselves from the beasts that lived alongside them. The Old World was once dominated by many freakish creatures before the intelligent arrived: sky manticores with translucent wings that shimmer like storms, six-legged grazers with crystalline horns that hum in the wind; winged bulls that are very well be a freak of nature, massive mammoths, ash vultures, gargantuan earthworms and ocean leviathans; such a dangerous and perilous world the hunter gatherers lived in.

But there is one that is more dangerous even to the nomadic tribes. Soon, the Great Blizzard rocked the Old World, engulfing the terrain with harsh snow and frozen hail. The hunter gatherers settled inside a cave in the Flatlands, discovering fire and creating intricate cave paintings, while slowly developing speech of their own but their paintings are far from what considered as coherent sentences. Though, hunger, thirst and the cold was their persistent enemies, and the resources slowly dwindle as the cold continues to wreak havoc to the World, destroying ecosystems and biosphere, they may have to resort into eating each other to survive, while hoping for the cold to end.

Until one fateful year, as they sat there gnaw away pebbles whilst waiting their relatives return from hunting, they had an epiphany. Their paintings began representing ideas and words, words that can create into coherent sentences. And with remaining energy, they have created the Oath to Unison, which reads:

"Human and Monster, together for eternity.

Even when we suffer from hunger, even when we suffer from thirst, and even when we suffer from the cold of the Blizzard, we remain in unison.

We will persevere through the cold, we will stay patient even if our hunger grows, we will stay determined and hope for the blizzard to go away, and hope for a day where our stomachs are filled not with stones but with food that we grew ourselves, and our hearts filled with the power of determination."

When the World finally developed their first words, Arrania wept in joy, giving birth to agriculture. The Blizzard stopped, and the world began to breathe again. The water rose into what it became now, three continents on a vast sea of blue, with the last ice caps remain frozen at the North and South. The people in the Flatlands found rivers flowing from their origin to the sea, and would soon give way for agriculture. They began farming grain but they still hunt for flesh.

Soon, the exotic animals began to lessen in numbers, most evolved but some extinct through natural selection, and the humans and monsters slowly becoming dominant. As years passed, the dominant race began to migrate to other parts of the Old World, some chose to stay at the Plateau, some settled in the Flatlands, some migrated to the Northern Tundra, the Eastern Plains, the Southern Desert, and the Southeastern Island, and with it their languages spread far and wide, slowly evolving to reflect their new cultures.

Their speech has evolved further to their last age, now becoming what was known as Xankhol. The Xankholic tribes would then migrate to the part of the world they have yet to explore, the rich coral archipelago at the West. The new tribes began to develop into their core identities: the Archipelagos and the Island would be the home to the Tenyora and Faxora, while parts of the Great Continent will become homes to the Shutarin, Nryatu, Ghurnak, Vesya and 'Aranya.

1.3 - 'ILI'US || THE WEAKENING

The moment when Arrania began to weaken, the world have formed its first major worlds after their separation in the end of the Flood. The Flatlands became the starting point of the 'Aranya people to thrive and spread the religion of Arrania to the world, with the seafaring Tenyora people being their first contact.

At that time, Tenyora solely worshipped Suwi Amunari, the Sea Mother of their creation, but now they have acknowledged Arrania as their Father God of Light, to whom they believe coexist with their Mother as partners. This strengthen the connection between Tenyora and 'Aranya, especially after the assassination of the First Prophet Eqrat Syupherol. The seafarers gave 'Aranya maritime goods such as beautiful shells and pearls, valuable to them as to 'Aranya. They also gave the people ships, granting access to the sea for 'Aranya. However, the connections cannot go well with the rest of the settlers of the Great Continent.

The Shutarin builders and caravans were skeptical of 'Aranya's worship, claiming that Arrania will die and fade into obscurity, but their God 'Ar, will never die and remain eternal. This sets the theological conflict between the Followers of the Flame and 'Aranya, despite giving goods like precious gemstones, spices and salt. But there is another conflict 'Aranya must endure.

The Nryatu, warrior-herders of the High Plateau, were seen as rivals to 'Aranya, raiding their farmlands and capturing lives as slaves to the herders. But after years of constant battering, some see the resiliant and calmness of 'Aranya, and absorbed into their civilization as mercenaries and allies, giving military and protection to 'Aranya. They bring wool and cattle from their herds to the people, as well as the sharpest glass they can muster, obsidian. With obsidian tools, 'Aranya can harvest grain far more efficient than ever, and would share some to the allies as a gratitude.

The Faxora tribes on the Island were not favorable to 'Aranya, wearing intricate masks for ritual purposes and worshipping the soil they stood on. They believe the Earth created them, not Arrania. As a result, 'Aranya ships were sometimes get either damaged or robbed and the sailors would either drown in the sea or crashed into the Plains, an uninhabited patch of land waiting for development, but not before the Faxorani tribes migrate to the Plains and claiming the Plains first.

Meanwhile, rarely anyone would dare to enter thr territory of Ghurnak, the stoic people who can withstand the harsh coldness of the North, yet worshipped the Primordial Void as their creator and their afterlife. Tales suggest only a small group of men and monster from the North come over to the markets of 'Aranya to sell lucious fur, ivory and carved bones, which often gets processed into jewelry. No one dares to speak with the Ghurnak, as they fear their stoicism and darkened energy.

The world will change for the future, and so will the civilizations.
